Drifting for Smallmouth

I have a love/hate relationship with smallmouth bass. They are invasive in salmon and trout waters, but are worshiped as incredible fighters and extremely aggressive in home waters from Maine to the Midwest. Finding a river and fishing with poppers from a drift boat is as good as it gets.
